Jewelry E-shop & Auction
Project Goal
Project for Kameja’s handcrafted jewelry. The goal is to create an online shop (focusing first on standard sales, with an auction feature planned for later) to sell and distribute her creations.
Business & Design Brief
To ensure both the web designer and the product architect have a comprehensive understanding of the requirements, the following parameters must be defined.
1. For the Web Designer (Visual & UX)
- Target Audience: [To be defined - e.g., Gen Z, young professionals, gift buyers?]
- Brand Vibe & Aesthetic: [To be defined - e.g., Minimalist, playful, artisanal, premium?]
- Core User Journey: Home → Category/Collection → Product Detail → Cart → Checkout.
- Key Pages Required:
- Home: Featured items, new arrivals, and a brief introduction to Kamėja’s story.
- Shop/Catalogue: Filtering by category (e.g., necklaces, rings) and material.
- Product Page: High-resolution image gallery, stock availability, detailed description, and ‘Add to Cart’ functionality.
- About the Maker: Kamėja’s story to build trust and highlight the artisanal nature of the jewellery.
- Support: FAQ, Shipping, and Returns policies.
2. For Product & Functionality (Technical Scope)
- Catalogue Structure:
- Are the items primarily one-of-a-kind (unique), or will there be multiple units of identical stock?
- Do items require variants (e.g., chain length, ring size, bead colour)?
- Customer Features (MVP):
- Checkout Flow: Will we allow guest checkout, or is account registration mandatory?
- Cart Management: Persistent cart state and stock reservation (crucial for unique items to prevent double-selling).
- Admin & Management (Kamėja’s Workspace):
- Inventory Management: A simple interface to add/edit products, upload photos, and track stock levels.
- Order Fulfilment: Ability to view orders, mark them as paid/shipped, and input courier tracking numbers.
Project Pillars

- Write product descriptions and “About the Artist” page.
3. Inventory & Fulfillment (The Goods)
- Define pricing strategy (base prices, auction starting bids/reserves).
- Source branded, protective packaging.
- Setup shipping rates, tracking, and courier logistics.
4. Legal & Operations (The Business)
- Draft Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Return Policy.
- Draft specific Auction Rules (e.g., payment windows, bid increments) - Deferred for later phase.
